香港アートフェア2025で土井沙織の個展開催 | MEDEL GALLERY SHU

MEDEL GALLERY SHUでは、3月26日より3月30日まで香港セントラル・ハーバーで開催されるアートフェア”Art Central”に参加いたします。本展は記念すべき第10回目の開催で、当社は3回目の参加です。唯一無二の作風で人気の土井沙織の個展を開催します。大小様々な総数41点の作品により土井沙織の世界観が凝縮された展示会で、土井にとっても香港で初の展示となり、前評判も高く人気の高さがうかがえます。

MEDEL GALLERY SHU is pleased to announce our participation in Art Central 2025, taking place at Central Harbourfront in Hong Kong from March 26 to March 30. This year marks the fair’s 10th anniversary, and we are honored to be participating for the third time.
For this special occasion, we are proud to present a solo exhibition by Saori Doi, an artist renowned for her distinctive and captivating style. Featuring a total of 41 works in varying sizes, this exhibition offers an immersive exploration of Doi’s artistic vision. Notably, this will be her debut exhibition in Hong Kong, which has already garnered considerable attention, reflecting the artist’s growing international acclaim.

本展では、日常の営みから得た深遠な洞察を基に、人間および人間以外の存在やその行動の本質に迫る土井沙織の思索の結晶を展示いたします。土井はしばしば、「大きなものの影を捉えるために制作している」と語りますが、その目指すべきものは、むしろ目に見えぬ小さな、か弱き存在にこそ宿る「何か」であると彼女は考えているようです。それは「見える」というより、「感じる」と表現した方がより適切かもしれません。彼女の作品に宿る感性には、常に深淵なる価値と計り知れぬ美が秘められており、鑑賞者に対して何かしらの永遠の真実を静かに伝えかけているかのようです。

This exhibition features a series of works that reflect Saori’s contemplation on the essence of human and non-human existence and actions, inspired by her everyday experiences.Saori, who often says she creates to “capture the shadow of something big,” seems to believe that invisible, small, and weak things are better “seen” for that purpose. It might be more appropriate to say “felt.” The sensitivity that she puts into her work always seems to contain something profound and precious.

ギャラリー名にあるMEDELとは、日本語で「物の美しさをほめ味わうこと」を意味する「愛でる」からきています。
唯一無二のアートを賞美し、慈しむという行為を介して、アーティストと鑑賞者、ギャラリーの間に喜びの行き交いが成立してほしいという想いを込め名づけました。
また、SHUは「祝う」の意で、アートを囲んだ「祝祭」のような場所や機会を提供できればと考えてています。
“時代を共にする人々にとっての財産であり、未来の社会を照らす灯である”と、アーティストの活動と作品を定義し、人々の心に残る独創性に富んだスタイルの作品を鑑賞者と共に愛でつつ、次世代に残るようなマーケットや美術史的評価を確立していくことが当ギャラリーのミッションです。そのような私たちの活動を通して、独創的な表現を受け容れる多様な社会的風土の醸成に資することができれば、これに勝る喜びはありません。
2018年来、ご愛顧いただいた帝国ホテルのギャラリーはタワー棟の建て替えに合わせて移転して、現在は日本のポップカルチャーの聖地である原宿・表参道に位置しました。現在は、クリエイティブな人々や世界中から訪れる外国人のお客様をお迎えするために、高いクオリティの作品を紹介しています。
さらに、パウダースノーを求めて世界中の富裕層が集まるニセコ町（北海道）にてアートギャラリー開業して（ 2024年）、日本の優れたアーティストをご紹介しています。

Opened in 2018, MEDEL GALLERY SHU is a contemporary art gallery in Tokyo, Japan.
The gallery holds a concept to discover and feature upcoming and next-generation artists throughout Japan from a wide selection of art categories (painting, portraits, sculpture, pottery, and digital).
MEDEL GALLERY SHU is located in HARAJUKU/OMOTESANDO – the holy land of Japanese pop culture. Due to its location, the gallery must hold a specific quality standard to welcome guests from dreative class and foreign guests from all over the world.

Currently, we run a gallery in two locations, Tokyo and Niseko.
